The mode conditioning fiber optic patch cord sends the laser light through the short singlemode fiber which is then aligned in the “mode conditioning” area of the optical fiber.
This allows the light to retain the speed advantages of the fiber optic patch cable.
Mode conditioning cables condition the fiber signal from multimode to singlemode.
